Secretary Raffensperger Brings Senior Financial Wellness Event “Savvy Senior” to Pine Mountain

Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger is thrilled to announce the upcomingSavvy Senior live event, taking place at The Lodge & Spa Conference Center, Pine Mountain, Georgia on July 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We are proud to partner with Abundant Life Christian Church and Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) for this important financial wellness event.
Join us for “Senior Savvy: Empower Your Financial Wellness Journey.” Our panelists will discuss essential strategies for retirement planning and fraud prevention. Strengthen your financial security and build confidence in managing your future with expert insights, resources, and practical tips. This event is free and open to all Georgians. A complimentary continental breakfast will be provided with registration.
“Financial security is a cornerstone of independence and peace of mind, especially for Georgia’s seniors,” said Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. “Through Savvy Senior, we’re empowering older Georgians with the tools and knowledge they need to protect their finances, prevent fraud, and plan for the future with confidence.”
Both panels will be moderated by Donna Lowry. The first panel, focusing on “Financial Wellness,” will feature Kamila Elliott, CFP®, Co-Founder and Senior Wealth Advisor at Collective Wealth Partners; Tiffany Kent, CFP®, Principal of Wealth Engagement, LLC; and Robert MacDonald, Retired Private Wealth Advisor at CKM Wealth. The second panel, dedicated to “Fraud Awareness,” will include Angela Adams, Assistant United States Attorney, Elder Justice Coordinator, NDGA; Nathan Coflin, CACTS Georgia Team Lead, Community Outreach Specialist, Senior Medicare Patrol, Advise Well Inc.; Stephen H. McClain, Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia; and Noula Zaharis, Assistant Commissioner of Securities and Division Director of the Securities & Charities Division at the Georgia Secretary of State’s office.
Savvy Senior is a financial empowerment seminar series hosted by Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger as part of his multi-faceted financial literacy effort and is administered through the Securities and Charities divisions of the Office of Secretary of State. These free events feature industry leaders who discuss resources that can help increase attendees’ knowledge about money, their relationship to money, and financial issues and strategies for growing their wealth.
