Dollar General to Close Nearly 100 Stores Nationwide. See How this Might Impact Georgia

Another one bites the dust. Dollar General, a prominent discount retailer, announced the closure of 96 stores nationwide, leaving questions about locations in Georgia.
While the closures may appear concerning, Dollar General plans to open 575 new U.S. stores and up to 15 in Mexico in 2025, according to Dollar General's fourth quarter and fiscal year 2024 report.
