The first and largest investment is an interstate project on I-85 in West Point. The project includes constructing 3 roundabouts as well as 2 bridges and approaches on State Route 18 over Long Cane Creek. The project is now 86% complete and will be finished this fall.
The second investment is on Hamilton Road. This project includes widening of the road. There is construction of drainage and utility relocation going on currently. This project is slated to be completed in the Fall of 2026.
The third investment is located over Long Cane Creek at State Route 1/US Route 27 with a bridge being replaced. Baring no inclement weather, asphalt and paving will be complete by the end of June, allowing for the new bridge to be open to traffic. A 3-day detour will be in place during the paving operation to reopen the bridge.
The last investment is milling and concrete rehab on I-85. There has been advanced warning signage placed ahead of the project. It is slated to be completed this winter of 2024.
