Thursday, December 5th, 2019

On Monday, Georgia Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King signed off on a number of proposed changes to the Rules and Regulations of the Department at a public hearing held by the Administrative Procedures Division.

“Today’s approved changes include the most significant updates to the Georgia State Fire Code in over a decade,” said Commissioner King. “These updates are critical, both for the continued safety of Georgia families and for Georgia’s construction industry and small business owners who rely on up-to-date rules and regulations from the state to carry out their work.”

In addition to the Georgia State Fire Code changes, today’s hearing also included updates to the Department’s Administrative Hearing Procedures, Corporate Governance Annual Disclosures, and Procedures for Registering Staff Adjusters, among others.
