Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger is pleased to announce the “She Leads” financial empowerment seminar.  The event will take place on May 3, 2019 in Atlanta.

As part of his financial literacy platform, Secretary Raffensperger will hold a series of events aimed at educating Georgian’s on the importance of investing and money management.

“Women are taking a more active role in business ownership and wealth management,” said Secretary Raffensperger.  “I am grateful for the contribution women make to our communities and the impact they have on our state.”

This pilot program is sponsored in partnership with The Investor Protection Trust (IPT) and The Investor Protection Institute (IPI).  The workshop will feature expert speakers, interactive exercises, and facilitated group discussions designed to increase attendees’ knowledge about money, their own personal relationship to money, and financial issues and strategies for increasing and leveraging their wealth assets.

“It is an honor to be a part of this inaugural event,” said Deputy Secretary of State Jordan Fuchs.  “Programs like this can serve as a catalyst for hundreds, if not thousands of new businesses and ideas.  We are excited to play a role in these women’s lives.”

2019 marks 100 years of women’s suffrage and March is National Women’s History Month.  March 8 is International Women’s Day.
