The Georgia Chamber of Commerce hosted a six-stop statewide tour throughout the early summer months. The Regional Small Business Series, also known as New Georgia Economy, offered half-day workshops to provide unique insight on the emerging business trends and risks, and the impact to small businesses, innovation and entrepreneurship that the state faces.

The tour locations consisted of Cartersville, Albany, Athens, Warner Robins, Newnan and Augusta. Each stop was in partnership with local chambers and stakeholders. Participants had the opportunity to hear from experts about a wide range of topics that included big data and security, talent and leadership, entrepreneurship and innovation, global commerce and competitiveness, advanced corporate and university research and development, and physical infrastructure and assets.

The Regional Small Business Series was established to better prepare small businesses and leaders for the developing and emerging trends the new economy has to offer.

“The New Georgia Economy Regional Small Business Series was created to help businesses prepare for an evolving and dynamic economic future. Around the state we’ve focused on talent and leadership, big data and security, entrepreneurship and innovation, global commerce and competitiveness, and advanced corporate and university research and development,” says Chris Clark, Georgia Chamber President and CEO. “The Chamber is committed to helping our business community thrive and the Small Business Series gives companies the tools to prepare them for a bright and prosperous future.”
Key speakers provided personal insight and experiences for those who strive to grow and develop as business leaders. Well-known companies that were represented included ADP, AT&T, Abshire Public Relations, Cadence Bank, goBeyondProfit, Jackson Spalding, Kabbage, Wells Fargo, the honorable Senator Bruce Thompson and many more.

The Georgia Chamber proudly thanks the series sponsors and the local chambers for their partnership; along with the innovative participants and speakers.
